SIES DAY 2015

Cari Colleghi,

Skin Needling produces similar results to Dermabrasion, Lasers and Deep Chemical Peels, but is much less invasive and does not require the removal of the epidermis. As a result the healing time is significantly shorter and there is no post-treatment skin sensitivity to UV light.

Skin Needling is also one of the few skin therapies that are suitable for treating all skin types, including ethnic skin, and which can be used to treat the fragile skin around the eyes, mouth and on the neck.

SkinRölla Skin Needling procedures are performed in a very safe and precise manner with the use of single-use sterile SkinRölla Titanium Dermaroller. The procedure is normally completed within 30-45 minutes.

Each fee paying delegate will be given a starter pack containing two dermal rollers, serums and local anaesthetic cream.

Agenda

14:00 Registration & Introductions
14:15 Illustrated presentation of Dermal Roller – Skin Needling
14:45 Practical Demonstration of Dermal Roller Treatment – Microneedling
15:30 Break for tea/coffee
15:45 Extensive hands-on involvement of delegates
18:00 Closing Comments

Why choose SkinRölla Dermaroller?

  • SkinRölla microneedles are made in the EU and are precision-engineered from titanium.
  • Titanium gives the needles a finer and much more endurable edge – causing less pain and irritation as compared to ordinary stainless steel rollers
  • Titanium does not blunt like stainless steel
  • Titanium does not pit or become damaged like stainless steel after use – there is no tearing of the skin which could cause scarring.
  • Each individual SkinRölla Titanium Dermaroller microneedle is gold plated to maintain sterility.
  • Each SkinRölla Titanium Roller has 192 needles for maximum efficacy ( 38 on the stamp)
  • The needles are tapered up to 75% of the needle shaft which allows for a more comfortable experience
  • Every device is irradiated, even the take-home products, ensuring completely sterile out of the box

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)

“I have researched many of the other providers offering PRP training courses as well as Dr Daniel Sister’s Dracula PRP course . I just had a gut feeling that this was the right course for me and I was not disappointed!. I feel my training with Dr Sister has ‘Ground Substance’ pardon the pun!, and in conjunction with Wigmore Medical my certificate of training has a bit of prestige. I have purchased the best bit of kit… fantastic knowledge and I am confident of great results…Thank you very much for making me so welcome and providing  an excellent training day.

Also a big Thank You to Dr De Souza who assisted Dr Sister…..He was just fabulous too! I will definitely book onto another course with Wigmore Medical Training.

Joanna Bartholomew, Pontefract”

“I was trained in January 2014 by Dr Sister in London in Dracula PRP therapy. The training was very informative with lots of practical and theoretical information to take away. He delivered a relaxed session and welcomed interruptions for questions, something I took advantage of as my learning style is more interactive discussion, and wasn’t threatened at all by this. I have since bought the centrifuge and kits as I was so impressed. I am sure this will be the next big thing in aesthetics and am excited for the ongoing discovery of its benefits. Well done and thank you”

– Andrea Bath, Blyth, Northumberland

Description

Dr Daniel Sister brings to you a course in the much talked about subject of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) using the Dracula Kit. For over thirty years, PRP has been used in many different medical fields including: cardiac surgery, oral surgery, dentistry and periodontal implants, orthopaedics, wounds care, sports medicine, neurosurgery, general surgery and cosmetics.

How does it work? A small amount of blood is drawn from the patient into a sterile tube in the exact same manner as a standard blood sample. The tube containing a patient’s blood is placed into a centrifuge and spun to separate the plasma and platelets from the other blood components. After a few minutes, the plasma and concentrated platelets are removed from the same tube and re-introduced into the patient at the site of injury, scars, skin, obvious lines or wrinkles. Using a small sterile needle, you inject the PRP in and around the desired site. The treatment lasts 30 to 45 minutes and can be applied to any skin type or colour. Is this safe treatment the nearest thing to a ‘perfect’ dermal filler? Time will tell.

Dr Sister has travelled the world to discuss with fellow professionals the remarkable array of treatments that have been made possible through this technique. During the course he will talk about his experience of PRP combined with mesotherapy or dermaroller, as a standalone treatment or post ablative laser; mixed (or not) with dermal filler, vitamins, amino acids and antioxidants; It can be used everywhere on the body, ranging from the treatment for hair loss to breast enhancement!

Advanced Toxins and Fillers

Description

The Advanced Botulinum Toxin Type A (Botox®) for Facial Aesthetics and Dermal Fillers training course delivered by Dr Huw Jones MBChB. This is an intensive and educational hands-on day for any aesthetic professional who wants to go beyond the basic toxins and fillers stage. The course deals with Hyperhidrosis, Tear Troughs, Periocular, Mid Face, Nose, Lip Lines, Chin, Neck, Mouth, Cheek Augmentation and Brow Projection.

Dr Jones is an aesthetic physician with more than 15 years clinical experience and administration of many thousands of cosmetic Botulinum Toxin facial treatments. He has been involved in all aspects of cosmetic dermatology and for the last nine years has been a recognised trainer in Botulinum Toxin Type A for cosmetic treatments (including hyperhidrosis).

Doctors have long tried to deal with the problem of hyperhidrosis, a condition which is revved-up and works at a very high level in up to 1.0% of the population. Until now, no plan of action has produced any completely satisfactory results. However, with Botulinum Toxin and repeated treatments every 4 to 8 months, your clients will be a lot happier with the results.

Our aim is to give you the skills to assess your own patients. As there are so many variations on individual anatomy, we review which products to use and at what depth of dermis, before going through the most frequently requested anatomical areas, such as tear troughs advanced lip techniques (tracking, volume), injection rhinoplasty, cheeks, chin, mental crease and brow volume. We also have a discussion on areas where hyaluronic acid is not the product of choice, but do not delve in any mid cheek, peri-auricular or temple work, as those are covered in other courses.

To maximise hands-on time during these somewhat intense sessions, we will send you the course slides prior to your training day(s) and request a prompt start. Class size is a strict maximum of three.

Mini-Thread Ultra V Lift

Description

Mini Threads Embedding Therapy is based on the multiple implants of polydioxanone Threads. Polydioxanone is a polymer which is degraded naturally within the body.
The Mini-Threads are implanted by inserting multiple needles carrying the threads inside. The implantation of Mini-Threads creates a subdermal network of support and stimulation of tissues, causing skin retention and thus a visible effect lifting, in addition to naturally stimulate the production of collagen and elastin.

While the effects are visible shortly after treatment, they are most effective within approximately 2 months after application, extending beyond the time of reabsorption of the polydioxanone (estimated to be 6 – 8 months).

The implementation is carried out using different size needles, depending on the specific characteristics of the thread chosen by the doctor (length, size, degree of tension required, etc.)
The amount of product (mini-threads) used in each treatment varies depending on the medical criteria and needs of each patient.

Several applications may be necessary. This therapy supports retouching and combination with other products, so the number of sessions and Mini-Threads to be implemented to reach the desired aesthetic result may vary depending on each patient. Once the treatment is completed, additional sessions may be necessary to maintain the improvement obtained, usually every 12 months.

Side effects that may be associated most often are: redness at the insertion points, slight edema in the area, burning sensation and pain which disappear within a few days. Occasionally there may be some bruising.

We are running half-day hands-on sessions and you should supply your own model.

Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty

Description

Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty is also known as the ‘15 minute nose job’. Mr Ash Labib FRCS will show and teach you how this can be achieved during a single day’s hands-on training course, as well as discussing the important considerations if you’re thinking of adding this to your aesthetic practice.

The non-surgical or medical rhinoplasty is a technique for remodelling and reshaping the nasal framework with the use of dermal filler injections.

It’s important to note that, as with many other filler techniques which target lines, folds and volume restoration, there are many complex structures to the nose, and the nasal anatomy must be understood before practitioners embark on correcting nasal deficiencies using filler products.

As an Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon, Mr Labib believes that this really is an area in which training is paramount, and should only be considered by those with an intermediate or advanced competence in dermal filler injections.

Given its history, rhinoplasty is probably one of the most written about and developed areas of facial surgery which has mostly remained unchanged in principle for several thousands of years; the aim remaining to correct nasal complications caused by trauma or birth defects.

In the modern era, the concept of a cosmetic rhinoplasty has evolved, with the surgery being less about a medical need to improve nasal function or correct a significant nasal deficit and more about a desire to improve on the look of the nose that god gave someone.
